Learn about marketing. Try new things. Make mistakes. Discover yourself.

SkillCraft is a social media and marketing internship for students 16-18 years of age. SkillCraft guides students and partners them with local host-organizations for a 6-week, full-time internship.

How the internship works

As an Intern, you will learn some marketing fundamentals and how to manage social media for a business which you will practice in your Host-Business or Charity 2 days a week. You will also have 3 days of in-person sessions with the other youth, where you will learn from our professional marketing consultant and other guest speakers, put your skills to work for your Host-business or Charity, and get 1-on-1 coaching sessions to support you in your personal and professional goals.

As a Host-Business or Charity, your SkillCraft intern will work on your business or charity 2 days a week for 6 weeks this summer. During this time, you would mentor them while they help you develop and share social media content during the internship. The idea is a give & give experience where you get help with your social media while giving a young person exposure to your work, industry and to the working world itself. As part of the programme, you get a marketing strategy training session prior to the program.

Breaking Barriers

All too-often, young people are thrown into the working world after high school without any experience and often do not get certain opportunities due to lack of experience. This programme aims to break the barrier to employment and professional success.
